at a glance

• deleting your b3rri account is immediate and permanent. there is no grace period, no soft-delete, and no way to restore it afterwards.
• do it yourself in the app: settings → account → delete account.
• no longer have the app installed? email [email protected] with subject "delete my account" from the address on your account.
• deleting your b3rri account also ends our use of any data we received from facebook when you signed in with facebook.
• disconnecting b3rri from facebook alone does not delete your b3rri account — see §4.

1. what gets deleted

when you delete your account, we permanently remove:

• your profile — display name, username, avatar, bio, birthday, and language settings
• your content — posts, photo feed entries, comments, replies, votes, and polls
• your messages, chat rooms you own, and your membership in rooms you joined
• your social graph — friends, follows, blocks, and pending requests
• your notification history and registered push devices
• your login identity, including any facebook, google, or apple sign-in link

this covers both your data on b3rri's own servers and your account on our identity service. the two are deleted in a single flow.

2. how to delete your account in the app

1. open b3rri and go to settings
2. tap account
3. scroll to the danger zone section
4. tap delete account
5. type the confirmation phrase shown in the dialog, then confirm

the confirm button stays disabled until you type the phrase exactly. this is deliberate — a single mis-tap must not be able to trigger a permanent delete.

if you hold an active subscription, cancel it first through the app store or google play. deleting your b3rri account does not cancel store-side billing.

3. how to delete your account without the app

email [email protected] with subject "delete my account", sent from the email address on your account. tell us your username so we can locate it.

we verify that the request comes from the account holder before deleting anything. we acknowledge within 3 business days and complete verified deletions within 30 days.

4. facebook login and your data

if you signed in with facebook, we received your name, profile picture, and email address from facebook. we use them only to create and identify your account — the name and picture simply pre-fill the sign-up step, and you can change both at any time from your profile.

we do not use facebook data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties.

two separate actions, two different outcomes:

• removing b3rri from your facebook settings (facebook → settings → apps and websites) stops facebook from sharing further data with us. your b3rri account and its content stay live.
• deleting your b3rri account (§2 or §3) erases the account and everything listed in §1, including the data originally received from facebook.

to remove everything, delete your b3rri account.

5. what we may keep

after deletion we retain only what the law requires us to keep, and only for as long as it requires:

• transaction and tax records for in-app purchases
• records of safety reports and enforcement actions, where retention is needed to keep a banned user from returning or to meet a legal obligation
• server logs on their normal rotation schedule, which expire on their own

none of this is used to rebuild your profile or contact you.
